MC Oct/14 - Quill Holly & Mistletoe - Dona Nobis & Peace

I was busy at our quilling session on Wednesday... made the quilled elements for both cards. I had pre stamped the sentiments on die cut (Spellbinders) circles using Versafine Black Onyx stamp pads and clear embossing, then sponging with Distress greens. Dried, then inked the edge of the circle and embossed with Queen's Gold.

For the holly card I used my jumbo comb gadget I designed and then pinched each loop to shape, then glued the end together to create a small holly circle. Made a few more holly leaves with individual circles. Filled them with honeycomb coils. Added a tight red/white domed coil.

For the mistletoe card created a bunch of eccentric circles using a dark green/white strip, pinched one end to create the leaf, then adhered two together onto a corrugated cardstock stem. Added tight white coils for berries.

MC Oct/14 - Quill Holly - Dona Nobis:
Side folded my white card (4.25"w x 5.5"h) and embossed with Sheen Douglas "Holly" embossing folder. Hit the high points with Distress "Antique Linen" then sponged a bit of "Frayed Burlap" around the edges.

Adhered two piece of red variegated Sari ribbon down the center of the card. Adhered my circle element. Added some taupe pearl flourishes. Colored a few white pearls with a red Sharpie marker and adhered them as holly berries.

Inside, stamped the res of the quote with the black and clear embossed. Die cut a Spellbinders "Fancy Tag" as a mask and stamped the holly sprig (Sheena Douglas) with the black, colored with Prisma colored pencils. Sponged a bit of the brown through the tag die.

MC Oct/14 - Quill Mistletoe - Peace:
Side folded my white card (4.25"w x 5.5"h), layered on a piece of dark green textured cardstock. Adhered green/gold Sari ribbon around the edge of the card as a frame.

Die cut the inverted scallop circle (Spellbinders) from white cardstock and inked the edge with Versafine Toffee and embossed with Queen's Gold. Adhered my quilled circle element onto it then onto the card.

Twisted a piece of the Sari ribbon to use as a hanger and adhered with a glue gun. Tied a bow and adhered that.

Added the rhinestone flourishes, cut out the section that ran over the lettering.

On the inside stamped the quote with the black and clear embossed. Die cut another of the inverted scallop circles to use as a stencil and colored with a dirty red sponge. Then used the positive piece as a mask and stamped the mistletoe (Flourishes). colored with Prisma colored pencils.
