MC Mar/16 - ECD Happy Birthday - Jules

I needed a birthday card for one of my uncles... and everyone is calling for green... sheesh. I don't think I've every done something Paddy related for his birthday before, so I figured, why not...

One of the challenges called for a square card and since I got the latest 6 x 6" pads from Elizabeth Craft Designs, that decided my size. I'm using one of the "Wood" sheets which had lots of green (green peeled paint on wood.)

Side folded my dark green textured cardstock. Layered with the Wood paper.

Created an eCut file of very bold text of Happy Birthday repeatedly and cut from white cardstock. Inked up my embossing folder (Spellbinders "Brick/Bark) with Distress "Old Paper" and then some "Crushed Olive", ran through my machine, then hit the high points with more old paper. Adhered to card front

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" Elizabeth Craft Designs; also available on Quietfire Design HERE)from white cardstock, inked with Versafine "Olympia Green" and embossed with a green embossing powder.

Adhered a piece of ribbon.

Stamped the giraffe (Artful Stamper) onto white cardstock using Versafine Vintage Sepia and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Oil Rubbed Bronze" embossing powder. Sponged some Old Paper all over and eCut (fussy cut) around it. Adhered to card over ribbon.

eCut the shamrocks (Quietfire Design available on Silhouette onLine store HERE) from white cardstock, inked with the Olympia Green and embossed with the green. Adhered to the giraffe as if he's eating the clover BIG GRIN.
On the inside: adhered a piece of checked scrapbook paper. Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "The Heart Has Its Reason...") using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Stamped the bamboo (Local King Rubber "Panda Bear") using the Olympia Green and embossing with the green.

Stamped the pandas (Local King Rubber "Panda Bear") with the black and embossed with Black embossing powder, eCut (fussy cut) around them and adhered to card.

Hi Yogi. Fabulous male card, great background and just love the giraffe. I have read your detailing and cannot see that you have used something from a cd or a digi image, our rules state these must be used on your project.so I am sorry but your card cannot be entered into the draw. I do hope you will join us again as I love seeing your work. Jennifer DT member Whoopsi Daisy DT.

I am positive your uncle is going to love getting a green card.. Well not really a 'green card' but the color.. Your giraffe munching on clovers is so funny!! His look is what makes this card so great. Your sentiment background is so well done along with the woodgrain embossing makes this card just fantastic.. Thank you so much for joining us MMM..
